- Find Lost DataFind Lost Data is a tool, created by BUSPH's Center for Health Data Science, that provides an easy way to search for datasets by linking to data that have been downloaded from federal, state, and local agencies.
- DataLumosDataLumos is a crowd-sourced repository for valuable government data created by the University of Michigan's Institute for Social Research. ICPSR has a long commitment to safekeeping and disseminating US government and other social science data.
- Census ReporterCensus Reporter is an independent project, not affiliated with the U.S. Census Bureau, that provides information from the U.S. Census bureau to make it easier for journalists to write stories using data and other applicable information from the census.
- FREDFRED (Federal Reserve Economic Data), created and maintained by the Research Department at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, is an online database consisting of hundreds of thousands of economic data time series from scores of national, international, public, and private sources.
- Archive of data.govThis is a regularly updated mirror of all data files linked from data.gov. The repository is maintained by the Harvard Law School Library Innovation Lab as part of the project to preserve U.S. federal public data.
- Internet Archive: Democracy's LibraryDemocracy's Library brings together more than 700 collections from over 50 government organizations, archived by the Internet Archive since 2006. Includes more than half a million documents (and counting) from local, regional, and national governments.
- Policy Commons 2025 Open CollectionThe Policy Commons 2025 Open Collection is an initiative to rescue and preserve materials from government organizations facing the removal of public information and data. The Policy Commons 2025 Open Collection and the Rescue-to-Open program will officially launch on March 23, 2025, and will include more than 100,000 items.
- Archived Presidential White House WebsitesWhite House websites are Presidential records. The official files that make up a Presidential administration's website are preserved in our Executive Office of the President Electronic Records Archive. In order for the public to easily access the websites, the National Archives has taken an additional step to "freeze" the White House websites and make them available online.
- End of Term Web ArchiveThe End of Term Web Archive captures and saves U.S. Government websites at the end of presidential administrations. The EOT has thus far preserved websites from administration changes in 2008, 2012, 2016, and 2020.
- NIH RePORTResearch Portfolio Online Reporting Tools provides access to reports, data, and analyses of NIH research activities, including information on NIH expenditures and the results of NIH supported research.
- Freedom of Information ActSince 1967, the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) has provided the public the right to request access to records from any federal agency. You may submit a FOIA request if you are unable to find the information you are looking for online.
